Consonant Review / Sight Words

These will be our focus words for this week : SEPT. 17. - SEPT. 21

As a class, we will be exploring, playing, writing, drawing and

practising these words all week.

At home ideas:

• You can use materials in your home to build the words (buttons, popsicle sticks, lego, playdough etc.)
• Use magnetic letters to spell the words in fun places in the house, or even on a baking tray.
• You can look for the words in your child’s books, or anywhere in the house...having cereal for breakfast? Look to see if any of your sight words are on the box!
• Point out words when you are out with your child (on a sign in the grocery store for example!)
• If your child knows how to read the words, challenge them to write as many as they can in a sentence or a story. Then circle the words and count how many you wrote.
